New life to begin in Miami 4/15/12 ..."and I'm feeling good."

  1. Congratulations! Find two more friends (preferably Southern) and a really old lady (or a relatively young one who doesn't mind wigs) and film a TV show during your free time.

    1. Don't get it Protectyernuts? Totally lost in translation. That said I only watch three channels...HBO, Showtime, Comedy Central. Have to subscribe to 1000 to get my 3 pithy channels. Bring me up to speed...As you were...

  2. (not at my regular computer, so I can't wear my squirrel suit)

    While you were reading, and perhaps editing, Jane Austen, the Golden Girls was a popular sit-com. It was set in Miami (ah, the connection).

    I applaud the effort you undertook to gain access to South Park, Rome, Game of Thrones and Empire, and a lot of cool movies, but that's a lot of misplaced effort just to watch Jon Stewart.

    1. The TV show I'm interested in making is "Cougar Town." Hear of it?

      So glad I spent those years reading Jane Austen rather than watching vapid sit coms like Golden Girls.

      I know many in your cohort prefer Hillybilly Hand Fishing, Ice Road Truckers, and the Kardashians to John Stewart and Colbert... but please don't deign to tell me my efforts are misplaced...

      Hey anonymous, you're missing reruns of "The Palins."

  3. I love election years. Release the hounds from hell!

    You forgot to mention The Jerry Springer show. Come on, doesn't curiousity overcome you to the point where you have to peek at Billy the Exterminator every now and then.

    Fulton Sheen enjoyed paraphrasing this little ditty by Rudyard Kipling, which I will also pare down, which may be apropos to our enyoyable volley:

    "If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
    * * *
    Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
    And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!"

    In the interest of full disclosure, I kept the gender reference in anticipation of a full WWE (I knew I forget one)-style Eurocentric Gender Bias body slam.
