ReplyDeleteMy dad's first career was in the Air Force (a little younger than your dad, he served in Vietnam). He retired at 20 years service because he wanted to do something else with his life. I like to think that, on another plane, he's on a golf course cursing under his breath about the shot he missed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, Babs. I miss my dad every day. He truly was the captain of our family 'ship' and, as you know, can never be replaced. And he told some of the worst jokes ever.
